EVENT: 40 YEARS OF RELAY FOR LIFE
WHERE: Greencastle High School 300 S Ridge Avenue
WHEN: Friday, May 16, 2025 4:00-10:00 PM
For 40 years, "Relay For Life" events have been a symbol of hope and remembrance, and they are still going strong.
The Relay began in 1985, when Dr. Gordy Klatt decided to do a 24-hour marathon around a track in Tacoma, Washington. This started a global movement of uniting communities to fight back against cancer. For 40 years supporters have come together to advance the American Cancer Society's vision: ending cancer as we know it, for everyone.
The Penn National Relay team is calling all survivors, caregivers, friends and neighbors to join this year's Relay on May 16. All survivors and caregivers receive a free catered meal. Remember to bring a Teddy Bear what will provide comfort for cancer patients.
So get out those walking shoes and hit the track. You are permitted to bring drinks and food but the school district doesn't allow smoking or alcohol on the property.
Hope to see you on May 16. Questions, call or email Linda Reed. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
